OOTD: Pink Please

10:46 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Happy Friday!  Hope you all have had a great week.  Mine was packed with running errands, furniture shopping, and meetings, meetings, MEETINGS.

On the day pictured below I needed to look professional but still wanted to feel like myself, so why not break out my brand new hot pink harem pants?

Harem pants can be really great, or really badddd depending on the fit - and this pair from Naked Wardrobe is absolutely perfect.  The material is so light and airy which makes them extremely comfy.

I paired them with some gray wedge Vince Camutos that have been a closet staple of mine for 2 years now.  I LOVE a great wedge.

On a normal day I might pair these pants with a cute crop top - but obviously I wasn't about to walk into a business meeting lookin cray so I opted for one of my fav flowy tops I purchased a couple years ago from Private Gallery.  I tucked in the front and left the back out, giving it that hi/low look.

Now let's talk the closeups.  I was SO EXCITED to finally get to try out my brand new liquid lipstick from Nova Beauty.  When I realized that I had the exact pink to match the pants, it was a MUST! [The color I'm wearing is called Rich Girl]

Here's a better shot of the lipcolor and my new fav layering necklace.  If you follow me on instagram then you have probably seen a snapshot of this spikey beauty.   It's from Shop Prima Donna, is only $18.99 and comes in black as well.

Alrighty - time to get this weekend started!!!!! -And by that I mean I'll be packing, unpacking and settling into my new apt! :)

OOTD: Earth Day & Lace

5:56 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Okay, so this week's #EXTRAhotdeals segment was centered around Earth Day.  We featured some amazing eco-friendly items [scroll down for those details], and...well... I tried to think earthy when choosing my outfit for today.

Flowers and lace are earthy right?!?!  I guess I look more like I'm heading to a garden tea party than a hippy picnic, but whatevs! :)

It was love at first sight with this dress by Bariano Australia.  The color instantly won me over, and when I discovered the structured shoulder it was a done deal!

The black detailing not only adds some nice shape, but a little bit of edge which I'm always up for! It was a bit "boobalicious" for my conservative[ish] self, so I did pair it with a nude cami which blended surprisingly well with the nude under layer of the dress.

For my jewels - I kept things simple around my neck with a Parker Daniels crystal heart pendant from last week's Stylemined offer, layered with the Jes MaHarry sterling silver beating hearts necklace from today's sale.

And for arm candy I went with my fav Ellie's Sparkles stack.

It was such a fun day on set today - the crowd was extra lively!  Here are some fun behind the scenes shots with Maria Menounos and some of the super sweet people who came to watch the show live!

Now let's talk the DEALS!  This is one of my fav segments YET!  The first item - featured in the video below - is a game changer for those of you who, like me, suffer from migraines.   Check out the video and visit www.STYLEMINED.com for the details!

OOTD: Little Red Dress

3:34 PM Unknown 1 Comments

Time for your weekly #WhatIWore on EXTRA post!

I know I know, it's usually all about the little black dress, but lately red has been taking over my wardrobe... and I'm kind of loving it.

This dress has become a staple for me simply because I can style it so many different ways.  I've work it on camera [a TON], to job interviews, events and date nights - and it never disappoints!

I purchased it from Bebe a year or so ago and honestly, I wish I would have picked it up in every color.  The structured sleeve is my favorite detail, but it's also got a bit of a tulip hemline around the bottom which you can see if you look closely.

For accessories, I went with a simple stack for my neck jewels - my sterling silver floating key by Joel David, and a bronze/crystal necklace from Parker Hulsey.

And of course, in case ya missed today's #EXTRAhotdeals segment, you can watch it below!  To purchase any of the items featured, visit WWW.STYLEMINED.COM.

Coachella Style Rewind

1:13 PM Unknown 0 Comments

It's been an incredibly quiet weekend here in LA as thousandsssss migrated to the dessert for Coachella.  No, I didn't attend - something about sandstorms, heat and overcrowding seemed unappealing to this JAP... but that doesn't mean I wasn't inspired by the fashion.   It's almost like a huge hippy costume party!  Here are some of my fav celeb looks

Katherine McPhee
I love Katherine in all white: monochromatic, summery, fun and flirty!

Kylie Jenner
My fav part about Kylie's look is her perfectly bronzed face.   I could do without the black choker - reminds me a bit of 1999, but whatevs.

Kendall Jenner
Now, Kendall's look on the other hand is perrrrrrrrfection head to toe.  I don't know if that's henna detailing on her face or what, but I love it!  Also the sheer floral kimono is everyyyything. So cute paired with the cropped top and high waisted shorts.

Selena Gomez
Unfortunately Kendall's BFF Selena didn't really pull off the sheer floral thing as well.  Love her floppy hat though!

Vanessa Hudgens
I honestly didn't even recognize Vanessa Hudgens with these long blonde locks!  Her tunic is super cute... but I'm kinda unsure about the ankle jangles.  A little tooooooo gypsy for me.

Hillary Duff
Hillary Duff's is our lil safari chic chick.  This is probably one of the most wearable day-to-day looks I've seen at Coachella... although that scarf must have been HOTTTTT.

Julianne Hough
It was denim on denim for Julianne Hough, layered with tons of turquoise.  Such a cute look for her.

Kate Bosworth
Aaaaaaaaand my favorite FACE of Coachella was definitely Kate Bosworth.  I'm going to have to do a makeup re-creation of this look - and maybe even a tutorial! How does that sound?  Perfectly peach! She is absolutely stunning.

So, which celeb had your fav Coachella look?  Tweet me a pic at @ShaeWilbur!

OOTD: Positively Tribal

11:03 AM Unknown 1 Comments

Are you guys getting tired of tribal prints yet? I'm not!  -And today I found yet another way to style my fav tribal inspired pants.

I paired them with some of my favorite wedges ever created.   They're by BCBGeneration [called the crespo wedge] and I love the so much that I purchased them in two colors.  They're hands down the most comfortable wedges I've ever worn.   Now, I purchased them 2-3 years ago so they may be difficult to find, as most of the department stores seem to be out of stock or no longer list them.... But I will say BCBGeneration has a few other options that could work just as well.  CLICK HERE to check them out.

The pants and purse were actually both gifted to me, but they're from H&M

Now for my closeups.  It's amazing how a dramatic lip can instantly make you face appear super put together and made up.  I've got EXTREEEEMELY minimal makeup on here - no eyeshadow at all, just brows, mascara and bronzer - but pop that color on the lips and my whole look changed!  The best part is that this lipstick will cost you all of $1.49!  #AMAZING & #YOUREWELCOME :)

My tank top is by a company called Compassion Brands.  Not only does it have a dog on it - which pretty much sold me instantly - but it's got a great message as well.  You can check out more of their charity based brands by visiting their website.

Onto the jewels.  Today I paired my Joel David floating key necklace with a jewel encrusted, single spike statement piece from Urban Outfitters.

For my arm candy, I stuck with "the usual" - my Alex and Ani favs along with two of my go-to Ellie's Sparkles bangles.

OOTD: Oldies but Goodies

10:03 PM Unknown 0 Comments

I've probably had this Tory Burch blouse for 3 years now.  Truth be told the print detail on it used to be bright white, but after a few years of washing it's blended with the blue a bit.   Hey, it's still in great condition... I'm not ready to retire it yet!

I had a ton of errands to run today, and wanted to be comfy - but still look "put togther" - you know what I mean?  So why not pair a silk blouse with my fav jean shorts?!   Done and Done!

I know some of you are thinking "she said she wanted to be comfy and she chose THOSE shoes?"  -Well yes.  I did [they're Vince Camuto btw].  I'm short, I like to appear taller than I actually am, so I'm willing sacrifice a bit of comfort for the extra few inches. Can I get an amen?!?  :)

These are actually surprisingly more comfortable than they look though.

I have to take a moment to spotlight this fringe find.   Perfect for those of you heading to Cochella this weekend, this crossbody bag is probably the best thing I've ever found at Forever21.  I purchased it about 4 years ago and it's REAL SUEDE!!!!  How in the heck I managed to find REAL SUEDE at Forever21 is beyond me.  -But I spotted it, grabbed it immediately, and walked out the door $15 later.

Now onto the arm candy.

I'm sure you've seen me wear this watch a hundred times before.  I pretty much have it on 24/7.  It's a limited edition Breitling Navitimer and was gifted to me by my sweet hunk of a husband a couple years ago.  It's my absolute fav.

The chunky chain link bracelet with the tassel can be found at Ellie's Sparkles, and the two tone HOPE bracelet is courtesy of Compassion Brands.

Last but not least - they're a Cali must have: SUNNIES!  These are my cat eye cuties from Bebe.

OOTD: Skirt & Sky High Heels

6:01 PM Unknown 1 Comments

[Scroll down to watch this week's #EXTRAhotdeals]

Okay I admit:  I can't get enough of these geometric bodycon skirts and dresses!  When I saw this skirt at Foreign Exchange I snagged it right away - knowing it was a bit loud, but also that I could tone it down with a simple flowy top.

This shirt, which is from Foreign Exchange as well, is a bit deceiving because it's actually a bodysuit - meaning it's cut like a leotard basically.  SUCH a genius idea because it eliminates all that bulky bunching you can get with tucking in a shirt like this.

Now my sky high heels, which I have yet to master walking in, are from a boutique in LA's Fashion District.  I honestly can't remember the name of it, but I will say that these $30 heels have held up well and are surprisingly comfortable.

Aaaaaaaaaaand now for my makeup of the day! I did my typical eye shading and face contouring (tutorial coming soon), and instead of pairing it with a nude lip as usual I went for a berry pout.  This lipstick is by Mac and it's called Flat Out Fabulous.  It's PERFECT for spring! -Such a vibrant color, it reminds me of flowers and sunshine and things that make me happy! LOL

I also knew that it'd go perfectly with the Melie Bianco purses I'd be featuring in today's #EXTRAhotdeals.

In case you missed it the latest edition of #EXTRAhotdeals - you can watch it back right here!  -And of course, the BEST PART is that you can still take advantage of these ridiculously amazing deals by visiting StyleMined.com.

OOTD: My Extra Debut

5:17 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Truth be told - I'm totally obsessed with rompers... so I thought I'd break out one of my favs for my EXTRA debut!

Hot pink + neon accessories = SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Here's a lil closeup on my neck jewels.  I layered two oldies but goodies:  a neon statement necklace from Windsor and a crystal cluster necklace that was gifted to me.

Yes, I realize I am making a crazy face in that pic - I was excited to show off this GORRRRGE Izzy & Ali purse *now available* for $29 at StyleMined.com

Now for the arm candy.  This is actually a pretty subtle look for me - usually I stack about 10 different bangles - but I wanted to show off my latest finds:  The sterling silver plated cuffs by Cate & Chloe.  I mixed 'em with a few other bracelets from Forever21/Private Gallery.

I had such an incredible first day on set and I'm looking forward to many more!
