Orange is the New Black

7:08 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Orange is TOTALLY the new black, you probably don't need me to tell ya that. It also happens to be one of my favorite colors of the season!

What better way to play up a nice tan than with a bright lil number like this!?  This dress is by one of my favorite Australian companies - Lumier

One of the best parts about wearing a solid color dress like this is having the freedom to accent it with another pop of color.

This necklace/bag combo were a must - especially considering I fell in LOVEEEE with them the second I saw 'em. HOW STUNNING is this stone necklace from Forever Unique? Gahhhh I want to wear it every day of my life.

I layered it with a gold dipped eternity pendant by Ella Poe and a gorge chunky gold cuff by Daniel Espinosa.

The stunning faux leather bag by Vieta is also the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe.  The mesh detailing keep it light and fun... And of course anything that I can wear cross body AND carry as a satchel, I'm obsessed with. Two for one y'all!!!! (Wow that's the first time I've said "y'all" since moving to LA!)

It's available UNTIL MONDAY on Stylemined.com for just $29!!!  You can thank me later. :)

These chunky heels are a fav of mine from ShoeDazzle, gifted to me by my girl Sazan. Don't ya love it when you share the same size shoes as your bestie?!?

Of course no summer outfit is complete without a great pair of sunnies. How cute are these tortoise frames from Quay? To pick up a pair of these gorge sunglasses for just $18, CLICK HERE

Gypsy Life

Maxi dresses can be hit or miss for me. I always love the idea of them, but then once I've got them ON, it's a different story. This flowy floral got my attention right away and I had to try it!

It's by Gypsy05 and it's definitely boho chic, that's for sure. I will say that the way it fits around the waist is loser than I'd like, but I still liked it enough to wear to an event this week. :) I paired it with my fav floppy hat and Karen Walker sunnies.  (See links below to shop these items)

Don't mind the tan lines here, I wanted to show ya how it hangs in the back. It's got a great scoop, that's still do-able with a bra (for those of you who - like me - can't afford to go bra-less).

For my neck jewels I layered some of my favorites. My "S" monogram from Stylemined, my tiny eternity chain that I never take off, and a staple layering piece from Parker Hulsey.

I wanted to play up the yellow gold a bit so I stacked some of my favorite bangles from Kendra Phillip - available ONLY THROUGH TONIGHT on Stylemined.com!

These great chunky heels are from Shoe Dazzle and are PERFECT for summer. The pop of metallic really dresses them up, while the nude straps make them so versatile.

And lastly, I went with a simple basic black crossbody purse from H&M.

*Remember - you have until MONDAY NIGHT to take advantage of these offers on STYLEMINED.COM.

Let's talk wardrobe.

So this was one of those weeks I could not settle on what to wear. I pulled out one of "those dresses" - you know, the ones you wear that make you feel good no matter what?! Yep. That's this guy.

The stripey geometric pattern works to hide everythinggggg, giving the illusion of perfect curves. Gotta love it! I got it from a boutique in Florida called Meow & Barks, it's not available online anymore but you can shop similar items at the end of this post. :)

I paired it with classic black pumps, and my fav Izzy & Ali tote from last week's Stylemined sale

For accessories I went with the gorgeous Kendra Phillip cuff (available NOW on Stylemined.com)...

and topped it off with my favorite sunnies by Wildfox.

Now we have to talk hair, because this week I tried something a little new - a mini topknot. It's kinda my new favorite thing! Of course, one of my friends on set just HADDD to make the comparison to Sasha - so I couldn't resist putting together this "Who wore it best?"

I have to admit, I think she does. :)

Alrighty, let's talk #WhatIWore. This is one of those dresses that has literally been in my closet forever.  I purchased it at Bebe a while back and it's a great classic red/orange dress.

I love the zipper pocket detailing on the sides... adds a lil bit of flare to an otherwise simple dress.

Because the dress is so bold itself, I went with bronzey colors with my makeup... nothing that would compete with the dress.   I also paired it with my floating key necklace by Joel David Designs.

Summer Night Sundress

11:40 AM Unknown 0 Comments

This black sundress might be my favorite Target purchase to date.  I snagged it the second I passed it on my way to the grocery section. :)

It's perfect for those outdoor barbecues, summer parties, or... in my case - a batmitzvah! :)

A pop of color was a must, so I went with orange lips and my mirrored aviators by Aquaswiss [featured on last week's #EXTRAhotdeals].

I paired it with my strappy wedges (gifted to me from my fav fashionista Sazan).

-And my latest obsession from Stylemined: this Izzy & Ali vegan leather winged tote. This bag is STUNNING.  For insane deals on #ExtraHot bags like this, keep checking www.STYLEMINED.com - the sales change weekly! :)

Suspender Revival

4:49 PM Unknown 0 Comments

So it's been about 13 years since the last time I wore suspenders.  I was punk rock, wore plaid skirts, Dr.Martens, and... yes.... suspenders.  When I saw these adorable high waisted shorts they instantly took me back to my spikier days and I had to have them! [Scroll down to shop the post - these shorts are on sale for $34.49!!!!]

Of course I'm far from punk rock these days, so I styled them muchhhhhh differently than I would have back in the day.  A simple crop top tank and cardigan were an easy choice.  Easy and comfortable!

The gray oversized floppy hat is always a great option for those windy days when you know your hair doesn't have a chance it'll stay in place.  Also a great way to cover up unwashed hair. SHHHHH don't tell! :)

Now I had to have a little ode to my punk rock days somewhere in there - and these shoes were a given.  They're actually much more comfortable than they look!
