*SEXY* Smokey Eye Tutorial

Gosh I love a great smokey eye!!!  It has definitely taken me some time to figure out exactly what type of smokey eye I like, and then learning how to do it was another process... but THIS is the final look I landed on and have been rocking a TON lately.  Perfect for a night out but yet soft enough to be worn during the day as well.  If you want to see exactly how I got this look, check out the video below. :)

RED CARPET RECAP: Golden Globes

8:01 PM Unknown 0 Comments

Well award season has officially kicked off with one of it's biggest nights - The Golden Globes!  Tonight's red carpet looks were STUNNING, to say the least.  We saw TONS of color - from classic reds, to jewel tone greens, to pastels, and some white hot looks as well!

Honestly I found it hard to pick my favs of the night because there really were so many beautiful gowns to chose from.  I'll start with my top 3 and then move on to some honorable mentions, how's that? :)

#1.  Jennifer Lopez

I mean, if you know me at all then this is no surprise to you.  I typically love everything she does on the red carpet (with the exception of a few looks), and not only do I typically love Jlo - but I'm OBSESSED with marigold!!!  Seriously one of my all time favorite colors to see on a red carpet.  It's just such an eye catching color, and when complimented by bronzed skin - PERFECTION.   There is nothing I DON'T love about this.  The cape-let, the skirt, the jewels, the glossy red lip, LOVE LOVE LOVE!

#2. Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors Collection

Red is a pretty common color to see at award shows, and I am generally not drawn towards red in - BUTTT being that this is more of a cranberry tone... I must admit I'm kinda in love with it.  I mean, you have to have a body like Olivia to pull off a fit like this.   I LOVE the sleek look of this gown so much on her!  I also appreciate the fact that she takes risks with her makeup.

Most of the makeup we saw tonight was super natural, with a pop of color on the lip.  Olivia did the opposite - bold color on the eyes and a natural lip.

#3.  Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Jenna has been a mainstay on my #BESTDRESSED list lately.  I just love how she always looks youthful, fun, and glamorous.... not to mention she and Channing Tatum are like the couple that every other couple wants to hang with!!!

Anyway, back to her look - navy is another one of my all time favorite colors.  I love it because in a sea of (often) black gowns, navy pops.  I especially like the contrast of it with her fair skin. She just looks so effortless to me.  I need to find out her skincare routine because her face is ALWAYS glowing.

Okay, honorable mentions... and I'm just gonna zip through these...

Jennifer Lawrence - LOVE her, and LOVE the cut outs in this dress... I kinda wish it was a different color because we have seen her in a lot of red.

Amy Adam - It's hard to tell, but this color definitely was more of a tangerine than a red.  What a perfect compliment to her strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.  This neckline is SO FLATTERING on her.  It's a fairly safe choice for a gown but this look as whole is GORGE.

And lastly... Lily James: pretty pretty pretty.  I don't know what I like most about this look - between the bronzey makeup and the softness of the gown... just really pretty.

So who were your #BESTDRESSED picks?!?!   Tweet me @ShaeWilbur and let me know!
