OOTD: Velcro Revival

12:19 PM Unknown 1 Comments

Ya know that moment your hubby/boyfriend/boo/whatever calls ya and is like "Hey babe, I'll pick ya up in 15 minutes for lunch" and you're still laying around in your bathrobe? Yeah... well welcome to my day. :) Let the mad rush commence.

Usually my makeup alone takes about 30 minutes so let's just say I had to improvise a bit today. [Scroll down to the bottom for makeup look of the day]

Leggings [CottonOn], button down [H&M] and a scarf [Nordstrom Rack] were the first things I could grab.

Obviously, given my time crunch, there was no way on EARTH I was about to attempt to make sense of my hair - so I pulled a Kate Beckinsale and threw it up into a pony.

These VELCRO wedge sneakers are my latest OBSESSION and I can not tell you how comfortable they are!  This is the closest thing to an athletic shoe that you will ever see on my feet! :) They're made by Steve Madden and were only $59 at Nordstrom Rack.  #Score

Now for my makeup.  You guys know I'm not about to go on a date - even if it's just a lunch date - with a bare face.  Sorry - not my style. :) SO when I'm in a rush my MUST HAVES are:  Foundation, Eyeliner, Mascara, a tiny bit of blush & lipgloss.  This is my 5 minute look:

John & Katy | Who You Love | PREMIERE

7:14 AM Unknown 1 Comments

It's here! The long awaited debut music video for John Mayer and Katy Perry's adorable duet: Who You Love!

The video premiered live on GMA this morning and watching them watch it is too cute to handle!

Ya know, I wasn't a huge fan of these two as a couple to begin with... but they're kinda growing on me.

Maybe I'm just happy that John Mayer seems to have settled down a bit - after going through a series of Hollywood starlets in what seemed like record time.  Either way - they seem to be happy and in love!

Do you think wedding bells are in the near future for these two?  Tweet me @SharonWilbur and let me know what you think!

Inspired

7:22 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Life as a TV host/reporter is not always as glamorous as it seems. :) Don't get me wrong... I am SO BLESSED and absolutely LOVE what I do, BUTTTTT things can be super busy, have crazy hours, and literally keep you up all night long.  However, it's days like this that make everything SO worth it!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet a 17 year old girl named Andrin Espana who is nothing short of inspiring.

Watch the video below for her story, and scroll down for more on how you can get involved and save a life just like hers.

What a courageous girl she is.  Andrin has been through so much at such a young age and it seems to have only made her stronger.  Even though she had to leave promptly after this interview to undergo her last round of Chemotherapy treatment, she could not have been happier to spend the morning raising awareness about the importance of all that the Blood Alliance does here in NE Florida.

For more on Andrin's story, visit the

TEAM ANDRIN Facebook Page

It's really incredible that just 1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives!  The Blood Alliance is the only provider of blood to ALL hospitals in the region so it's all the more imperative that those who are able to donate - do so!

There is no better gift - especially during the holiday season - than giving through the Blood Alliance.  You are literally giving the gift of life to someone in need. For more information on where you can go to donate, visit www.igiveblood.com.

Hola Costa Rica!

6:45 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Happy FRIDAY!  Or should I say FRI-YAY! :)  Today I head to the beautiful country of Costa Rica for the first time!

I'll be joining my father in law Paul Wilbur for a concert in the capital city of San Jose.
Just looking at these pictures gets me excited!

As you may or may not know, music has always been - and remains to be - a huge part of my life.  2 years ago I released my first Spanish EP, and the fact that I'm able to now bring this Spanish music to a Spanish speaking country is not only an honor, but is so exciting for me.

I will definitely be taking tons of pictures and video so I'll have some sort of recap coming your way after my trip - but until then, my blog may be just a tad quiet.  :)  Love y'all and have a great weekend!  Follow me on Instagram: @ShaeWilbur & Twitter: @SharonWilbur to keep up w/ me while I'm on the road!

Catching up w/ Angie Miller

4:36 PM Unknown 0 Comments

If you watched season 12 of American Idol, then you MUST recognize this face.

Angie Miller made it all the way to the final 3 before getting eliminated. Needless to say I was shocked when she got sent home, and STILL think she should have won it all last season.

This girl is one of the most talented people to come out of the Idol machine and I was absolutely looking forward to the opportunity to catch up with her.

If you haven't purchased Angie Miller's single "This Christmas Song" - then head on over to itunes to check it out! [Scroll down to see *official* lyric video]

Kate Middleton GOES DARK!?!?!

7:33 AM Unknown 0 Comments

It has happened: Kate Middleton has gone to the dark side... literally!

She debuted much darker locks at an event in London this week, and lets just say this change couldn't have come at a better time.

Just a couple weeks ago Kate was spotted with *GASP*  gray hairs!!!  Okay, really not THAT big of a deal - everyone gets them - but Kate did get a lot of flack for not "keeping up" with her iconic tresses.  There's no doubt the fresh color looks much healthier and shinier, but I'm kinda torn as to which color I think suits her best.  What do you think? Take the poll below the picture...

Paul Walker Update [VIDEO from the scene]

5:44 AM Unknown 0 Comments

New details continue to emerge every day regarding what happened on Saturday afternoon when Roger Rodas and Paul Walker decided to take a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT for a drive. Today in my Morning Dish - footage from the tragic moment of impact and more...

As mentioned in my Morning Dish above - Paul's latest film HOURS will be released as planned on December 13th. The movie tells the story of a father struggling to keep his infant daughter alive in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. By the looks of this trailer, I think we can expect to see Paul Walker at his best. [RIP]

[RIP] Paul Walker

11:33 AM Unknown 1 Comments

I don't know about you, but I'm still in shock and completely saddened by the death of Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas.
Paul Walker & Roger Rodas

It's always shocking when someone dies so suddenly.... and the more I find out about what happened on Saturday, the more tragic it seems.

One thing is for sure, Paul [& Roger] died doing what they loved. If there's any positive note to take away here, that's it.

According to new reports, authorities believe that the Porsche he was riding in could have been going upwards of 100mph just seconds before it crashed.  Here are some of the startling photos from the scene... it's hard to believe this is all that's left of the car:

This is the last known picture we have of Paul alive... just moments before he got into Roger's Porsche.

Now, the question everyone is asking is what will come of Fast & the Furious franchise?   They were in the middle of filming the 7th installment and Paul was actually scheduled to head back to Atlanta this week to continue filming.  I can't imagine the movies without him... I'm sure at this moment producers are seriously considering what their next steps will be.

It's just such a loss.  My prayers are with his family and loved ones, as I can't imagine the heartache that they're experiencing right now.

AMA PERFORMANCES

7:30 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Ahhhh so so SO much to talk about today!  Last night, the biggest names in music came together for the American Music Awards.  From the red carpet arrivals, to show stopping performances from artists like Ariana Grande - the evening did not disappoint.

Watching the show... I really felt like the focus was on the music, more than ever. The majority of the performances actually impressed me! [For a complete list of the winners scroll to the bottom.]

20 year old Ariana Grande not only won the award for New Artist of the Year, she OWNED the night with this performance.  I just can't stop watching it:

So I showed you the best first, now let's talk the rest of the performers. Katy Perry sang her latest single, Unconditional, in a Geisha themed performance.  Visually it was absolutely stunning - especially towards the end - however vocally it was not her strongest.

Say what ya want about One Direction, but these boys have some serious talent. Pair that with really REALLY catchy songs and you've got no reason to wonder why they're such a phenomenon.

Now this next performance surprised me a bit.  Christina Aguleria teamed up with A Great Big World for their HUGE hit Say Something.  Honestly, I feel like this is the first time in history that Christina didn't over-sing... and I love it! This song is just incredible anyway. [To hear one of my favorite covers of it CLICK HERE]

What would an awards show be without a Miley moment? Granted it was no foam finger performance - THANKFULLY - but it was... odd.  Nothing says Wrecking Ball like a gigantic singing kitten right?

LOVED this JT performance - so fun to watch.  Staging, style, everything on point!

Gaga went theatrical with R. Kelly... I'm just waiting for her to branch out into Broadway or something.

[OOTD] Sophisticated Leopard

8:55 AM Unknown 0 Comments

My big dilemia this morning was whether to pair pumps or booties with this combo - obv I went for the booties since they're a bit more seasonally appropriate.  It may be 75 degrees in FL but it IS technically fall right? :)

This dress - which can easily be transitioned from day to night - is by Miss Me Couture and is only $69.00.

Now the blazer - I'm OBSSSSSSSSESSED with.  It won me over with the shoulder pads, and I love that there isn't really a collar on it, so it doesn't add much bulk. It has a bit of a "boyfriend" cut as well, so it sits a little lower on the hips.  LOVE LOVE LOVE.  [*Also comes in white & a neutral tan*]

For accessories I went with one of my new fav necklaces from Forever21. The shorter statement strand and the longer chains are all connected.

Arm candy is Stella & Dot renegade cluster [in gold], stacked with my Breitling and a black leather cuff that was given to me as a gift.

So, if you're going to see Catching Fire, be prepared to:

     5. Have a strange desire to wear butterfly eyelashes the next day to

For just $28.99, this Esley skirt from Classy Crossroads is a MUST HAVE! I have SOOOO many styling ideas for it, but today... since I was heading to work... I went for a little more dressed up look.

The exposed zipper is what first caught my attention but the FIT is absolutely perfect [I'm wearing a small].  I paired it with a Forever21 blouse that I purchased a couple years ago, and a simple pendant necklace, also from Forever 21.

I thought a little pattern mixing would be fun so instead of going with a simple black tight, I went with a zig-zag pattern which also gives a bit of a slimming effect in person. The booties are BCBG.

X FACTOR TOP 10 RECAP

7:05 AM Unknown 0 Comments

The theme was British Invasion which meant our X Factor Top 10 had to chose songs written or performed by a BRIT! I LOOOOOVED this theme, simply because much of the music I enjoy is from the UK.

As a whole, MANY of the contestants did a great job last night - but in my Morning Dish, I recap my top 3 favs:

Bring on the DRAMA!

6:38 AM Unknown 0 Comments

Alright so you've seen me posting about it non stop for the past few weeks and now we are just TWO DAYS away from the SERIES PREMIERE of The Drama Queen!!!!

That preview pretty much says it all.  Marki Costello is not only "Hollywood Royalty" [granddaughter of comedian Lou Costello] - she's an unfiltered, uncensored, tell-it-how-it-is kinda girl... oh.. and she's MY manager! :)

The show will feature all aspects of MARKI COSTELLO - from her personal life, to her Hosting Bootcamps, to managing her clients.  Which brings me to the most asked question I've gotten recently:  "Will you be on the show?!?!"  Allow me to answer that for ya... YES! :)

If you've been wondering what in the heck I've been doing on all my California trips, watch the show and you'll see! [UPDATE: I'm not sure when my episode will air but keep tuning in & I'm sure you'll see me!] Set your DVRs, spread the word - I could not be more excited about this!

This show really gives you a look into what goes on in Hollywood BEHIND the scenes.... and trust me, there is NEVER a dull moment with Marki.  I mean... let's just say that Simon Cowell has NOTHING on her when it comes to being brutally honest. :)

YES she's a Drama Queen, and YES she can be totally CRAY at times, but she's a GENIUS when it comes to finding and developing talent.  I couldn't be happier to be a part of her agency!

So make sure you watch The Drama Queen Sunday nights, and LIVE TWEET w/ me during the show @SharonWilbur!  Here's another lil sneak peek:
